Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ Obliterates Spotify Debut Day Record

Image003 (1)Drake’s new album ‘Scorpion’ obliterated Spotify’s first day streaming record with more than 132 million streams. At one point on Friday, the 26 track album was streaming more than 10 million times per hour.

The previous one day album stream record was set on April 27th by Post Malone with 78,744,748 streams for his “Beerbongs & Bentleys” album.

Spotify will be sharing updates all weekend on Twitter under the hashtag #ScorpionSZN as the new album breaks the platform’s streaming records for an album release. 

Twitter says that in the last 24 hours, Drake has been tweeted about more than 3 million times.
